The word “camping” sparks our imagination with visions of spending a night under billions of stars in the wild. If this excites you, then you have landed at the right spot. At Feel Alive Camps, we offer an authentic and immersive camping experience in the heart of nature.
We are proud Himachalis, deeply passionate about our culture and environment. Growing up in the mountains, cradled by nature, is a privilege that few experience, and we are delighted to share our heritage with you. Our pets, Buddy and Cara, will welcome you warmly, helping you de-stress and making you feel comfortably at home.
As avid travelers and trekkers, we love connecting with nature and experiencing top-notch service at eco-friendly establishments. With extensive experience organizing treks across the Himalayas, we possess deep knowledge of what it takes to make such adventures safe, sustainable, and thrilling.
Our love for deeply satisfying dining experiences has inspired us to design our café in a traditional Himachali-style building. We aim to provide the most authentic experience, with a menu crafted to offer a blend of standard, comfort, and local food that suits various moods and weather conditions. Every dish is prepared fresh with love, our special seasoning.
FROM THE FOUNDER
Feel Alive Camps in Bir is a perfect destination for those who want to really connect with nature, offering an invigorating & exciting experience. The campsite is located at Bir(Chougan) 50 metres above the Paragliding Landing Site. The camps are surrounded by omnipresent nature, the exquisite greenery and neighbouring countryside with sloping mountains; a perfect recipe for adventure or daydreaming and relaxing.
The campsite offers all the indispensable and up-to-date modern facilities whilst respecting the naturally relaxing atmosphere. Enjoy the complete view of mighty snow covered Dhauladhars and the paragliders along with the most mesmerising panorama of sunset, sunrise, moonrise and the night sky. You can also enjoy the view of the paragliding landing & take off sites at the same time. If you like walking, you will be in your element. Trails will take you through wheat and rice fields, wild flowers and plenty of bird watching.
The Northern Cafe on site will nourish you with home grown vegetables and freshly cooked food. Dine in authentic Himachali ambience with the best views in town.

At Feel Alive Camps, we are committed to eco-friendly practices and preserving our environment. From the construction to the daily operations of our site, no machinery or animals were used to transport goods and materials; everything is a product of strenuous human effort, making our site truly special. We manage our waste meticulously, recycling and reusing whatever is possible.
We also believe in empowering the local Himachali youth by providing in-house and professional skills training. This not only helps them but also ensures that our guests receive the best hospitality in the finest traditions of our culture.

HOW TO
REACH US
Bir lies roughly midway between Dharamsala and Mandi, 16 km from Joginder Nagar and 10 km from Baijnath. Situated at an altitude of around 1400m, Bir is home to a large Tibetan community and there are several beautiful monasteries in the vicinity. The neighboring Indian villages are surrounded by terraced fields, tea plantations, and rushing streams, with many pleasant footpaths to explore. On the edge of the Tibetan colony is the paragliding landing site, where paragliders land after taking off from Billing.
BY AIR
The nearest airport to Bir is Kangra Airport (Dharamshala Gaggal Airport), located approximately 68 kilometers away. From the airport, you can hire a taxi or take a pre-booked cab to reach Bir. The journey by road from the airport to Bir takes around 2-3 hours, offering scenic views of the hills and valleys along the way.
BY TRAIN
The nearest major railway station to Bir is Pathankot Railway Station, situated about 140 kilometers away. From Pathankot, you can take a taxi or a bus to reach Bir. Alternatively, you can take the toy train from Pathankot to Ahju, which is about 3 kilometers from Bir. The toy train ride offers a unique and picturesque journey through the mountains and is highly recommended for its scenic beauty.
BY ROAD
Bir is well-connected by road, and you can reach it by taking buses or driving. There are regular bus services from major cities like Delhi, Chandigarh, and Dharamshala to Bir.
From Delhi: Bir is approximately 520 kilometers from Delhi. You can take an overnight Volvo bus from Delhi to Baijnath or Bir Road. The bus journey takes around 12-14 hours.
From Chandigarh: Bir is about 290 kilometers from Chandigarh. You can take a bus or drive via NH503, passing through towns like Una, Hamirpur, and Palampur.
From Dharamshala: Bir is around 70 kilometers from Dharamshala. You can take a bus or taxi, and the journey takes about 2-3 hours, offering beautiful views of the Dhauladhar range.
Once you reach Bir, local taxis and rickshaws are available for commuting within the town and to nearby attractions.
